Chicago Reader Video premiere: The Polyphonic Spree, "Do You Hear What I Hear?"

via Chicago Reader

Gargantuan Texas choral-pop group the Polyphonic Spree swing by the Logan Square Auditorium tonight as part of their Holiday Extravaganza tour. They've been doing the titular variety show back in Dallas for a solid decade—apparently previous incarnations have included appearances by comedians, bell choirs, and "tap-dancing grandmas." Now they've taken the whole thing on the road to support their new album, Holidaydream.

The Polyphonic Spree are also releasing visuals for every tune off the album, and we've got the premiere of the video for "Do You Hear What I Hear?" The colorfully animated clip works well with the band's sweet song; check it out below.

Tonight's performance is an all-ages affair that includes two sets by the Polyphonic Spree (one dedicated to their holiday songs, another to their usual material), a holiday dance party hosted by Chic-A-Go-Go's Mia Park and Ratso, some animal ambassadors from the Brookfield Zoo, and more; doors open at 5:30 PM.
