American Songwriter Premieres Video for Bob Schneider's "Digging for Icicles"
via American Songwriter
Watch the video for “Digging for Icicles,” the first track off Austin, Texas-based songwriter Bob Schneider’s upcoming album Burden of Proof. The video, dark and reminiscent of the work of Tim Burton (specifically A Nightmare Before Christmas) or Stefan Nadelman (Ramona Falls, “I Say Fever”), features a masked and skeletal character moving with the singing face of Schneider in a hilly, desolate landscape. Director Gary Dorsey is a graphic and multimedia designer by trade, and the video reflects this with the different individual parts layered and moving together in conjunction with the melancholic tone of the song. In the words of Schneider, Dorsey “has taken a dark esoteric song about being irrevocably lost and given it a visual language that compliments the emotional tone of the piece perfectly.” Burden of Proof is out June 11.
