I first wrote about Sarah Jaffe in 2010 when I was moved by her debut full-length album, Suburban Nature. Last year the Texas-based singer-songwriter released her second full-length, The Body Wins, and she's been pretty busy since then. Right now her vocals are featured in The Blue Umbrella, the animated short that's screening before blockbuster kids' flick Monsters University, and she's working on new material.
Today I'm delighted to premiere Jaffe's latest, a song called Satire. Produced by Midlake drummer and fellow Texan McKenzie Smith, treat yourself to its pensive and laid-back vibe:
